Alice, the character from Lewis Caroll’s Through the Looking Glass, has been part of our company’s narrative for almost twenty years. We often pair her with the following quote:
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in the tree.
“Which road do I take?” she asked
His response was a question: “Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t know,” Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”
Alice in Wonderland – LEWIS CARROLL
Yet, as we thought through our latest website, we decided to let Alice take a back seat for a while. Why the change? Our clients always come to us with powerful questions, and while Alice’s wondering which road to take animates one dimension of our company’s service, it doesn’t address the next layer, the rich and varied work and the insight we provide our clients.
So while Alice may have ceded her front-and-center position on our website, she’s still here; she has an awful lot to teach us. Here’s a timely lesson about the futility of running in place. Through the Looking Glass remains required reading here at Blanchard Group.
